How the VS-8620 Works

The VS-8620 operates by attaching the wireless transmitter to an insulated operating rod. During inspection, the transmitter's two probes are placed in contact with both metal fittings of each insulator unit, with the marked probe connected to the high-voltage side.

The measured voltage is transmitted wirelessly to the handheld receiver, where the voltage value is displayed instantly. After each measurement, operators simply press the measurement button to save the result. Once all insulators within the string have been tested, the entire dataset is automatically stored for further analysis and report generation.

The integrated analysis software compares measured voltage values with standard reference tables or neighboring insulator strings to identify deteriorated or faulty insulators requiring maintenance.
