The system consists of two major modules: the Cable Fault Testing System and an advanced cable fault pinpointer. Mounted on a rugged mobile trolley, the complete solution is easy to transport and operate in field environments.

The Cable Fault Testing System combines a high-performance Cable Fault Tester and a High Voltage Surge Generator. It supports low-voltage pulse reflection, high-voltage flashover testing, and multiple impulse testing methods, allowing users to accurately determine cable length, propagation velocity, and fault distance. Advanced waveform capture and analysis technology automatically identifies fault characteristics and significantly improves testing efficiency.

Equipped with a 10.1-inch high-brightness TFT touch screen and embedded control system, the tester offers an intuitive user interface with both touch and rotary encoder operation. The built-in lithium battery supports more than five hours of continuous operation, enabling field testing without external power supplies.

The integrated High Voltage Surge Generator provides DC withstand voltage testing and impulse discharge functions for fault breakdown and pre-location. Multiple voltage levels and discharge modes are available to accommodate different cable types and fault conditions. Comprehensive protection mechanisms, including zero-start protection, automatic discharge, overcurrent protection, and over-temperature protection, ensure operator safety during high-voltage testing.

For precise fault pinpointing, the Cable Fault Pinpointer utilizes advanced acoustic-magnetic synchronization technology. By simultaneously detecting discharge sound waves, electromagnetic signals, and vibration signals generated at the fault point, the system automatically calculates the acoustic-magnetic time difference and accurately identifies the exact fault location.
