100kV AC Hipot Test System | VS-W30-100
Product Details
The VS-W30-100 Partial Discharge Free AC Withstand Voltage Test System is a professional high-voltage testing solution developed for AC withstand voltage tests and partial discharge detection of transformers, switchgear, insulators, cables, bushings, GIS equipment, and other electrical apparatus.
The system adopts an SF6 gas-insulated test transformer instead of a traditional oil-immersed structure, eliminating the risk of oil contamination while significantly reducing equipment weight by 20% to 60%. With excellent insulation performance and ultra-low partial discharge characteristics, the transformer achieves a partial discharge level of ≤3pC, while the complete system maintains a total partial discharge level of ≤5pC under rated voltage conditions.
The integrated test system consists of a high-voltage test transformer, coupling capacitor, high-voltage current limiting reactor, low-voltage compensation reactor, isolation transformer, automatic control console, and compensation cabinet. The low-voltage compensation design effectively reduces source-side current consumption by up to 60%, improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
Equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen control console, the system supports both automatic and manual testing modes. Users can independently configure up to five voltage stages, voltage ramp rates, and withstand test durations. Automatic testing functions include voltage ramping, compensation switching, timing, voltage reduction, data storage, and report printing, greatly improving testing efficiency and repeatability.
Designed for high-voltage laboratories and field testing applications, the system provides stable sinusoidal output with waveform distortion less than 5%, low operating noise, and reliable protection against overvoltage and overcurrent conditions. The scalable design allows similar systems within the product series to achieve voltage ratings up to 1200kV for ultra-high-voltage testing applications.

How the System Works
The AC Withstand Voltage Test System generates a stable high-voltage power frequency output through the SF6 insulated test transformer. During testing, the coupling capacitor and measurement circuit continuously monitor partial discharge activity while the automatic control system manages voltage ramping, holding, and reduction processes.
The low-voltage compensation reactor minimizes input current demand, improving energy efficiency and reducing stress on the power supply. The system simultaneously performs withstand voltage testing and partial discharge measurement, enabling comprehensive insulation evaluation of high-voltage equipment.
